Description
This 210-acre park, on Oconee Creek in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, contains two historic structures: a stone blockhouse (fort) known as Oconee Station and a two-story brick residence known as the William Richards House. Oconee Station was the last blockhouse to be decommissioned in the state of South Carolina. The park offers picnicing and access to hiking trails.

Alerts and Important Information
Park hours are Thursday thru Sunday 9AM - 6PM (March thru December). The Station House and Richards House are open for tours on Saturday & Sunday from 1PM to 5PM and by appointment.

Oconee Station is located two and a half miles off SC Hwy 11 between the towns of Salem and Walhalla. From the town of Walhalla drive north on SC Hwy 11 for 8 miles. Turn right on Oconee Station Road. The park is two and a half miles on the right.
