DescriptionSurrounded by state land, Macomb Reservation State Park has a wilderness atmosphere. Visitors can swim in man-made Davis Pond, use non-motorized boats, and fish in the pond or the Salmon River. The park has playing fields, a picnic area, a self-guided nature trail, a hiking trail, electric and non-electric wooded campsites. Winter activities include ice skating, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling.Geography:Macomb Reservation State Park lies just outside the Adirondack Park, along the Salmon River's course toward Lake Champlain. Macomb Reservation State Park is located in the Lake Champlain area, although it is part of the Thousand Islands State Park Region, it is 160 miles east of the Thousand Island area. Recreation:Activities include boating, fishing, hiking, organized recreation programs, and wintertime snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. Facilities:The park offers boat rentals and has a beach; nature trail; picnic pavilions and tables; a playground for children; playing fields for the young and young at heart; and campsites with showers and dumping stations. All facilities are accessible to disabled visitors. Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
