Description

Burnham Point State Park is small and quiet, with lightly-wooded campsites and great opportunities for boating, fishing, and relaxing. Boaters can explore local towns, islands, and historic sites for miles up and down the scenic river. Anglers can catch popular game fish like bass, pike, muskellunge, and walleye. In addition to tent and trailer campsites, the park has boat docks, a playground, and picnic areas.

Burnham Point State Park is located northeast of Lake Ontario, on the St. Lawrence River.

Boating, fishing, hunting, picnicking, and camping are popular activities here.

The park offers campsites, showers, dumping stations, picnic tables, a playground, and boat launch sites, most of which are handicapped-accessible.

Alerts and Important Information

To insure fairness for all NY customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 9-month Maximum Window can not be changed or cancelled until 18 days after the reservation was made.

  • Patrons must be 18 years or older to register for a site.
  • Pets must have proof of current rabies inoculation and be on a 6 foot leash at all times.
  • There are no water or sewer services available at any site.
  • There is no beach.
  • There is 20 amp service on electric sites.
  • Site 11 is designated as a persons with disabilities accessible site.
  • OPRHP Peak season: A person may be the primary site occupant for 14 total days of camping within a 16 day period. S/he must leave the park for 48 hours once they have stayed the maximum number of days allowed before beginning a new reservation.
