DescriptionThe Beaver Pond Campground adjoins the Lake Welch Recreation Area within Harriman State Park. Comfortable camping, a relaxing atmosphere, a beach, and plenty of outdoor activities make this a great destination not far from New York City.Geography:The Beaver Pond Campground is located just 25 miles north of the George Washington Bridge. Recreation:Park activities include swimming, picnicking, camping, and walking. Facilities:The campground offers tent and trailer sites, as well as accommodations for larger vehicles. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire ring. Comfort stations, showers, laundry facilities, and a dumping station are part of the campground. A protected swimming beach is available when lifeguards are on duty. Nearby Attractions:Nearby recreation areas include Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site; Rockland Lake State Park; Bear Mountain State Park; and Lake Tiorati Beach and Lake Sebago Beach, both in Harriman State Park.
