Clarksburg State Park, MADescriptionThere is no more beautiful place to view fall foilage than Clarksburg State Park. The nearly 368 acre forest offers breathtaking views of both the Berkshire Hills and the Green Mountains. Scenic Mauserts Pond offers swimming, picnicking, fishing and a pavilion area. The pond is skirted by a scenic trail along which visitors can observe a variety of wild plants and animals. In the campground, 44 sites are spread beneath a canopy of majestic pines. Alerts and Important InformationIMPORTANT: Beginning in the 2010 camping season, MA State Parks prohibits the transportation of firewood into or out of MA State Park Campground facilities. Firewood will be available at the campground for a donation of $5.00 per bundle. Transportation of firewood into or out of MA State Park Campground facilities may result in eviction, or substantial fine, or both. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in all Massachusetts State Parks and Campgrounds. The reservation must be in the name of the primary occupant. To insure fairness for all MA customers, any reservation with departure dates outside the 6-month Maximum Window cannot be changed or canceled until 18 days after the reservation was made. If you choose to cancel or change your reservation, a $10.00 fee will be charged. The reservation transaction charge is non-refundable. Cancellations made on the day of arrival must be made by contacting the campground and will result in the loss of the first night's camping use fee plus the $10.00 cancellation fee. Fees will be deducted from any refunds due or will be added to future reservations. Refunds of $5.00 or less cannot be processed. If you leave early, please check-out at the contact station. If you are unable to arrive on your scheduled arrival date, you must call the campground. Failure to contact the park by 8:00 A.M. the morning following your scheduled arrival date may result in your campsite being reassigned to another camper and forfeiture of all fees paid. Follow Rte. 8 North to Middle Road on the left. Turn left onto Middle Rd. Clarksburg State Park is on the right. From the Massachusetts Turnpike (Rte. 90): Take Exit 2 (Lee). Turn right on Rte. 7 North towards Pittsfield. Follow Rte. 7 North to Williamstown. Turn right on Rte. 2 East to North Adams. Follow Rte. 2 East through North Adams and the intersection with Rte. 8 North. Follow Rte. 8 North to Middle Rd. on the left. Turn left onto Middle Rd. The park is on the right.
