Description

Discover incredible fishing at one of Colorado's largest reservoirs, Eleven Mile State Park! Rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout, kokanee salmon, northern pike and carp are all found within the waters of this 3,400 surface-acre reservoir. Waterfront camping, scenic vistas, uncrowded boating and ideal wind conditions for sailing and windsurfing make Eleven Mile a best bet for all visitors. The park is open year-round, offering spectacular Rocky Mountain sunsets and plenty of room to breathe. Visitors may choose from a variety of campsites at Eleven Mile State Park's 350 site facility. Showers & laundry facilities are located at the Park Office and are open from May 1st through September 30th.

Alerts and Important Information

Eleven Mile Reservoir is open to boating. North Shore boat ramp will close at ice on or December 1, 2009 whichever is earliest. The reservoir will reopen to boating following ice off in the spring. All trailered boats must be inspected for zebra mussels and other Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) prior to being allowed to launch. Visit www.100thmeridian.org for more information on ANS. To speed up inspections, please make sure boats are CLEAN (no mud, vegetation etc.); DRAINED (all live wells, bilges, and ballast tanks should be empty); and DRY. Boats may only be operated from 1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset.

Boat rentals are available from the marina concessionaire, 11-Mile Sports.

*** In addition to the camping fee, an entrance fee is required at all state parks!

*** Shade may be naturally provided by trees and other vegetation or by man made shade shelter. Please call the park for specific details.

*** Specific fishing and boating regulations exist for this park.

*** The reservoir is now completely full. The North Shore Boat will close at ice on or 12/1/09 whichever is earliest. The Witcher's Cove Boat Ramp closed for the season 9/7/09.

*** There are no fire bans currently in effect within Eleven Mile State Park but conditions have been very dry. Please use extreme caution. Fires are only permitted in the park-provided fire rings and grills and must be attended at all times. Fire conditions can change quickly, so please contact the park office at (719) 748-3401 for the most up-to-date information.

From Colorado Springs take Hwy 24 west for 38 miles through Lake George. West of Lake George, turn left (south) on County Rd 90 and follow it for four miles. From that point, continue south on County Rd 92 for six miles to the park.
