Season for Peak Fees: 05/15 to 09/15

Pismo State Beach offers all kinds of attractions: hiking, swimming and surf fishing (and digging for the famous Pismo clam); the annual winter migration of millions of monarch butterflies (the park has the largest over-wintering colony of monarch butterflies in the U.S.); and tree-lined beach is also popular with bird watchers. Ocean Lagoon has a wheelchair-accessible fishing overhang.

Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in.

North Beach Area is not right on the beach. It is inland behind the dunes. Oceano Area is not right on beach either.
Oceano Area is open all year for reservations.

  • Use Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park.

  • Oceano Area:
    • Open all year for reservations

  • North Beach:
  • 1st come / 1st served when not on reservations.
  • 2009-2010: North Beach, reservations available Nov 1 thru Nov 30, 2009 and May 28 thru Nov 30, 2010.
    Oceano, reservations available All Year.
