YELLOWPINE (UT), UT

Description

Yellowpine is located next to Rock Creek, which is at the bottom of the canyon surrounded by mountains. The campground is shadowed by large Ponderosa pine trees. There is running water, and flush restrooms are provided. Evenings are cool. The campground is accessible for individuals with disabilities. Within 5 miles there is an interpretive trail, also accessible. Upper Stillwater Reservoir and Lower Stillwater Ponds are popular for fishing (short drive away).

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance. This is Yellow Pine Campground in Rock Creek Canyon. It is NOT on the Mirror Lake Highway near Kamas. Single sites are allowed 1 vehicle, 1 RV/trailer, 1 tent, and 8 people. Double sites are allowed 2 vehicles, 2 RV/trailers, 2 tents, and 16 people. Group sites are allowed 4 vehicles, 4 RV/trailers, 3 tents, and 32 people.

From Duchesne, Utah, take Highway 40, turn north on Highway 87. Go 15 miles to Mountain Home turnoff. Continue 2.5 miles towards Mountain Home. Turn left at the Rock Creek Store. Proceed about 15 miles to Yellowpine.
