As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. Drain all water from equipment - Discard live bait before leaving - To kill Zebra Mussels, dry equipment for five days or wash with high pressure hot water WINDSOR CROSSING (MO), MODescriptionWindsor Crossing Park is located at Harry S. Truman Lake, forested with rocky hills and rock bluffs extending into the lake. The Windsor Crossing area is an excellent fishing location. Popular activities include fishing, camping, hunting, swimming, and boating. There are whitetail deer and turkey and other animals and birds that live in and around the Windsor Crossing area including raccoons, skunks, squirrels, turkey vultures, hummingbirds, hawks, and ospreys. Alerts and Important InformationReservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. The campground will remain open to walk-ins 10/01-4/14; campsites are $8/night and are collected at the self-pay station. Waterborne facilities are open during the peak season, 4/15-09/30. A maximum of two vehicles is allowed per site; vehicles must remain on paved or gravel surfaces. For additional campground information please call 660-477-9275. Campsites may be reserved from Apr. 15 - Sep. 30 and fees are $8/night. Register at campground booth during posted hours. There is a limit of 1 wheeled unit and 2 tents (or 3 tents) per camp pad.
