WILD MARE HORSE CAMP (OR), OR

Description

Wild Mare horse campground is located along the central Oregon coast, 22 miles south of the town of Reedsport, and about 2 miles north of Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon. Wild Mare horse camp has 12 sites.

There is a maintained horse trail to dunes and beach located within the campground. Riding along the roadside is allowed to access the beach. Facilities include vault restrooms and water. Coin operated showers are located at nearby Horsfall campground. There are no dump stations in this campground.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
There is a 2 night minimum stay on weekends, and a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
The use of off-highway vehicles is prohibited in this campground.
OHVs may be on trailers, but not unloaded.
Reserved campsites may be released to first-come, first-serve status if site is not occupied within first 24 hours of arrival time.
There is a maximum of 2 vehicles per site. All vehicles must stay within striped, paved area.
Reservation confirmation must be displayed on the vehicle dashboard.

From Reedsport, Oregon, take Highway 101 south for 22 miles to the Horsfall Dunes and Beach road sign, turn right and follow signs.

From Coos Bay/North Bend, Oregon, take Highway 101 north for about 2 miles to the Horsfall Dunes and Beach road sign, turn left and follow signs.
