WHITE PINE SOUTH GROUP CAMP (NC), NC

Description

Located in Western North Carolina, in the Pisgah National Forest. White Pines North Group Camp is a Walk - In facility. Parking lot is provided. *People needing special access assistance must call 828-862-5960 within 5 days of arrival. *Tents only. *Campgrounds available year round. *Interpretive Programs may be available upon request. *Gate will remain locked and customer is responsible for lock, including replacement if lost or damaged. *No Vehicles allowed beyond gate. Suitable for tent / walk-in camping. *Please bring garbage bags, this facility is "pack it in - pack it out".

From Asheville airport, take Highway 280 south to Brevard. Turn right (north) on US Hwy 276. Go 1.75 miles to Forest Service Road 477 and turn right. Go 0.5 mile to parking area on right side of the road. Walk across the bridge to the campground entrance.
