WHITE PINE NORTH GROUP CAMP (NC), NC

Description

Located in Western North Carolina, in the Pisgah National Forest. White Pines North Group Camp is a Walk - In facility. Parking lot is provided. *People needing special access assistance must call 828-862-5960 within 5 days of arrival. *Tents only. *Campgrounds available year round. *Interpretive Programs may be available upon request. *Gate will remain locked and customer is responsible for lock, including replacement if lost or damaged. *No Vehicles allowed beyond gate. Suitable for tent / walk-in camping. *Please bring garbage bags, this facility is "pack it in - pack it out".

From Asheville Airport, take Highway 280 south to Brevard. Turn right (north) on US Hwy 276. Go 1-3/4 miles to Forest Service Road 477 and turn right. Go 3/4 mile to parking area on right side of the road. Walk across bridge to campground entrance road.
