WENCH CREEK (CA), CA

Description

Located on the east shore of Union Valley Reservoir, this complex is situated in a beautiful ponderosa pine forest at an elevation of 4900 feet. The Wench Creek Complex has two 50 - person group campsites and 100 single - family campsites. The family sites are completely first come, first serve (not reserveable). Firewood is sold at the campground. The Union Valley Bike Trail runs through the complex. The group sites have flush toilets, piped water, and group fire rings and grills. Alerts and Important Information

*Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.* This campground has first-come, first-served sites. A per day per vehicle fee will be collected at the campground beginning with the 3rd vehicle. Group Site 1 allows 12 vehicles. Group Site 2 allows 10 vehicles. Vehicles park in developed areas only. No ATVs or ORVs allowed. A trailer or an RV plus a tow vehicle equals 2 vehicles. No refunds are given for bad weather. CAUTION: Bears and other wildlife are frequent in this ares. Please keep your campsite clean, your food properly stored, and the dumpsters locked.

On Highway 50, go 21 miles east of Placerville to Riverton. Turn left on Icehouse Riverton Road. Go 19 miles north to Wench Creek turnoff, turn left to campground.
