Description

Virgil Point Campground is located on Hugo Lake on the Kiamichi River, about 7 miles east of Hugo, Oklahoma. Sportsmen will find a wide variety of fish including largemouth and spotted bass, crappie, white bass, channel and flathead catfish, bluegill, sunfish, buffalo, carp, and drum. Skiers and speedboat enthusiasts can enjoy some 8,000 acres of open water in the lake. Boating lanes have been provided in the uncleared upper half of the lake for easy access by fishermen. Recreational facilities including boat launching ramps, group camping, picnic and camping areas, playgrounds, beaches, bicycle and hiking trails at public use areas around the lake. Virgil Point Campground offers 52 campsites.
