FIREWOOD ALERT!: Leave Your Firewood At Home!
We need your help to protect our forests! A firewood quarantine has been established for much of the state of Virginia. In general, firewood can harbor insect pests under the bark and in the wood. The transport of infested firewood has been identified as a leading cause in the introduction of harmful forest insects into un-infested forest areas. The best way to prevent a new infestation of these invasive pests is to get your firewood AFTER arrival. Help us keep our parks pest free by leaving your firewood at home!
INFORMATION REGARDING VICTORIA CAMPGROUND RESERVATIONS: Due to repaving under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act at VICTORIA CAMPGROUND, reservations ARE NOT being taken during the period March 15, 2010 thru October 11, 2010; however, some walk-in campsites may be available at this campground during this period. Unfortunately, problems with the award of the paving contract has forced us to make this decision.

Alerts and Important InformationReservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. The campground opens March 26, 2010 and closes October 11, 2010. The last night to camp is October 10, 2010. During the period March 26, 2010 through September 30, 2010, the gate is closed from 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. During the period October 1, 2010 through October 11, 2010, the gate is closed from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. ATV's and ORV's are prohibited. Maximum two (2) pet limit per campsite. This campground has first come, first serve sites. Campground does NOT make advance reservation. You may go to the campground or contact the Allatoona Lake Project Management Office at (678) 721-6700 to check the availability on first come, first served sites.
