TWIN LAKES (PA), PA

Description

Located north of Wilcox, PA and south of Kane, PA via State Route 321 and Forest Road 191, the campground is situated near a small man-made, spring-fed, trout-stocked lake. Vegetation is forested hills. Campground is open from mid April to mid December. Reservations are accepted Memorial Day through Labor Day. First come, first serve sites are available. Group sites include the use of pavilion and are available for both Day Use gatherings and overnight camping. www.alleghenysite.com

Alerts and Important Information

*Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.* 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays. Pets must be leashed. Quiet Hours 10pm to 6am. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. Campsite fee allows for 8 people, 2 motor vehicles (car, station wagon, van or truck) and 1 wheeled camping unit (motorhome, travel trailer, popup trailer, truck camper, conversion van or bus). Limited parking. A fee of $5 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground. Please do not bring firewood from home. Do not unwittingly spread the Emerald Ash Borer, an exotic beetle from Asia. Firewood is available at or near camping facilities. The PA DOT has issued a detour for camping rigs over 5 tons for the Wilson Run Bridge on the Township Road providing access from Highway 321 to Twin Lakes. The alternate route is Forest Service #191 heading west from the campground.

Northwest PA on State Route 321 about 8 miles South of Kane, PA. From State Route 321 at large campground sign, turn onto Forest Road 191. Follow Forest Road 191, 2 miles to the campground. Railroad underpass on entrance road restricts vehicle height to not more than 10 feet.
