TUFF CAMPGROUND (CA), CA

Description

Located in the eastern Sierra, 25 miles north of the town of Bishop, California. Situated along Rock Creek. Vegetation includes sagebrush and aspen, cottonwood and Jeffrey pine trees. Pink volcanic rock. Elevation is 7,000 feet. Most campsites are in an open sagebrush area. Campground roads are gravel. Popular activities include hiking, fishing and wildlife viewing. Mule Days are held in Bishop over Memorial Day weekend. The Mammoth Jazz Jubilee takes place in mid-July.
Opening and closing dates for the season are dependent on Weather.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. Maximum 2 vehicles per site or 1 RV. A trailer counts as a vehicle. A fee of $7.00 for extra vehicles will be collected at campground. Please check in with campground manager. No refunds are given for bad weather.
