As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. TUB RUN (PA), PADescriptionTub Run Recreation Area is located at Youghiogheny River Lake. The lake lies in the heart of the Laurel Highlands and spans the Mason-Dixon line between Pennsylvania and Maryland. Clean waters, forested mountains, and steep-sided valleys provide an unsurpassed setting for recreation opportunities such as camping, fishing, boating, hiking, water-skiing, biking, picnicking, sightseeing, and more. Youghiogheny's Outflow Area is renowned for excellent trout fishing and is stocked regularly from April-September. Nearby attractions include some of Pennsylvania and Maryland's finest state parks. Ohiopyle State Park, PA, is especially known for some of the best whitewater in the East, and is often the scene of national kayaking competitions. Cyclists of all ages will enjoy the many miles of bike trails in the area. For the history buff, the area abounds in historical sites and parks. For sheer natural beauty, Youghiogheny Lake can't be beat. Summer temperatures usually range from the 50s to the 80s.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationAlcohol is prohibited. This campground has first-come, first-serve sites available. All equipment and vehicles must fit on the site pad. Overflow parking is available. Maximum 2 tents OR 1 tent and 1 trailer allowed per site. A $3 fee per vehicle per day is charged for visitors. Getting There:Tub Run (PA)250 Tub Run Road Confluence PA 15424 GPS Info. (Latitude, Longitude): 39.77083, -79.40194 Rte. 281 S from points north: Continue south thru Confluence, and over the Casselman & Youghiogheny Rivers. Go 4 miles, turn left on Tub Run Road. Go 1 mile to campground. Rte. 281 N from Rte. 40: Continue north 3 miles towards Confluence. Turn right onto Tub Run Road. Go 1 mile to campground. Rte. 523 N from Rte. 40: Continue north 7 miles to Confluence. Turn left onto Rte. 281 S, over the Casselman & Youghiogheny Rivers. Go 4 miles, turn left on Tub Run Road. Go 1 mile to campground.
