Description

Located at a high elevation, in the lodgepole pine trees, with the Hoover Wilderness nearby. Firewood is sold at the campground. Most sites are shaded. Many local lakes and high peaks. Interpretive activities at Bridgeport Ranger Station and Robinson Creek Campground. Good fishing in Robinson Creek. Excellent hiking in the Hoover Wilderness and Yosemite National Park This campground has first come, first serve sites.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 7 days in advance. An extra vehicle charge will be collected per day at at the campground, beginning with the second vehicle. No refunds are given for bad weather. CAUTION: Black bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers. At least once guest must occupy the site the first 24 hours for the site to be held. Leaving an empty vehicle or camp equipment does not signify occupancy. Questions about policy and reservations, can be reached at 760-932-9888

Travel 13.5 miles south from Bridgeport on Highway 395. Turn right at Conway Summit. Travel 5.9 miles on Forest Road 21 to where the asphalt turns to gravel. Turn right at campground entrance.
