Truman Lake. Located in Benton County, 8 miles north of Warsaw, MO. From Hwy 65, travel west on Hwy T for 3 miles, turn south on Georgetown Ave. and follow for 1 mile.Geography: The area is forested with rocky hills and rock bluffs extending into the lake. The Campground is well shaded with trees. Recreation: In addition to the campsites, three group camps and two day-use group shelters may be reserved. The area is an excellent fishing location. Popular activities include camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, and boating. The park also has a day-use group shelter that may be reserved. Sterrett Creek Marina is just a couple miles by water. Alerts and Important Information14-Day Camping Policy: Camping is limited to 14 days in a 30 day period. Once the camper has completed 14 consecutive camping days they must leave the park or the camp-loop for a period of 24-hours. After 24-hours they may return to the park to camp. At no time will exceptions be allowed to the above limits because a camper uses different names or separate reservations in attempts to circumvent the above limits. A separate party may not register for the campsite if the existing camping unit remains for the purpose of circumventing length of stay limits.
