TANGLEWOOD GROUP CAMP (CA), CA

Description

Tanglewood Group Campground is located 45 miles from San Bernadino, CA, in the San Bernadino Mountains, at an elevation of 7,542. This campground is situated in a pine forest. Restrooms are provided, but there is no water or trash collection. The nearest showers are at Serrano Campground. Markets and restaraunts are available in Big Bear. Popular activities include boating, fishing, and swimmimg at Bear Lake. Other recreation opportunities in the area include hiking, biking, and rock climbing. Gold Fever Trail is nearby. Alerts and Important Information

Stoves using gas, jellied petroleum, or pressurized liquid fuel are still allowed. Check with the local Ranger Station for current fire restrictions.
  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
  • There is no water, please bring your own water.
  • No extra vehicles can be accommodated at this campground.
  • There is no trash pick up so please bring garbage bags. This facility is "Pack it in. Pack it out."
  • No refunds are given for bad weather.

    Take I-10 (Hwy 330) to Running Springs, CA, (State Hwy 18) to Big Bear Lake Dam (State Hwy 38), for 8 miles. Turn left on Van Dusen Canyon Road (3N09) go for 4 miles. Turn right on 3N16 travel for approximately 2 miles. Take a right on 3N79 and follow for a short distance to campsite.
