As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. Drain all water from equipment - Discard live bait before leaving - To kill Zebra Mussels, dry equipment for five days or wash with high pressure hot water TALLEY BEND (MO), MODescriptionTalley Bend Campground is located at Harry S. Truman Lake. The park is forested with rocky hills and rock bluffs extending into the lake. The Talley Bend area is an excellent catfishing location. Visitors enjoy fishing, hunting, and boating. Animals that live in and around the Talley Bend area include whitetail deer, turkey, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, turkey vultures, hummingbirds, hawks, and ospreys. Alerts and Important InformationThere is a limit to 1 wheeled unit and 2 tents or (or 3 tents) per camp pad. 2 night minimum on weekends. 3 night minimum on holidays. Open all year round, water borne facilities available Apr. 15 thru Sep 30. The campground will remain open to walk-ins from Oct. 01 to April 14. Campsite fees are $8 per night, payable at the self-pay station. A maximum of two vehicles is allowed per site; vehicles must remain on paved or gravel surfaces. Campsites may be reserved from Apr.15-Sep.30 and fees are $12-$18/night. For more information, please call 417-644-2446.
