SYCAMORE CABIN (AZ), AZ

Description

The cabin is located at an elevation of 4,000 feet. The cabin is enclosed by a fenced yard and has running water, hot water, a flush toilet, shower and electricity. The kitchen has all the basic amenities including a sink, electric range and refrigerator. There is a limited supply of plates, pots, pans and silverware. The cabin has gas heating and air- conditioning. It also has a functional wood stove. There is no phone or television service available. In case of emergency a cell phone might work.

The maximum capacity for the cabin is eight people. An additional two people are permitted only if a Recreational Vehicle (RV) is provided. There are beds for 6 people in the cabin: One double bed and 4 twin bunk beds. No bedding or linens provided.

Horses are permitted and there is room for up to four. There is a corral area and open space to tether or hobble horses. You must supply the feed for the horses and it must be certified weed free. Please clean up after your horses. Pets are not permitted in the cabin. The renter is responsible for any and all damages caused by animals.

Sycamore Cabin can be reserved 180 days in advance.
  • There are beds for 6 people in the cabin; No bedding or linens provided.
  • The maximum capacity for the cabin is 8 people.
  • The 7th & 8th person are permitted only if a Recreational Vehicle is provided.
  • There is a $25.00 per night additional fee for the RV hookup.
  • If you do not have an RV, only 6 people are allowed in the cabin, with NO exceptions.

Please remember this is an historic building in a desert environment. Be aware that scorpions, snakes and other insects may be present at any time. In wet weather the road may become impassable.

From Phoenix: Take Interstate 17 (I-17) North approximately 80 miles to exit 268, the Dugas/Orme Road exit. Go east toward Dugas. You will be on County Road 171 which becomes Forest Road 68F at Dugas. Travel east 8 miles, continuing through the creek and past Dugas 1/2 mile, turn right (south) at the Sycamore A.S. (FS 68F) road sign. Continue 1 mile to the cabin. Approximately 6 1/2 miles of this road is maintained gravel road, 2 1/2 miles is paved.
