FIREWOOD ALERT!: Leave Your Firewood At Home! We need your help to protect our forests! A firewood quarantine has been established for much of the state of Virginia. In general, firewood can harbor insect pests under the bark and in the wood. The transport of infested firewood has been identified as a leading cause in the introduction of harmful forest insects into un-infested forest areas. The best way to prevent a new infestation of these invasive pests is to get your firewood AFTER arrival. Help us keep our parks pest free by leaving your firewood at home!

Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.

  • 2 night minimum on weekends.
  • 3 night minimum on holidays.

The campground opens March 26, 2010 and closes September 7, 2010, The last night to make a reservation is September 6, 2010.

The gate is locked at 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Maximum two (2) pet limit per campsite

ATV's and ORV's are prohibited.

This campground has first come, first serve sites. Campground DOES NOT make advance reservation. You may go to the campground or contact the Allatoona Lake Project Management Office at (678) 721-6700 to check the availability on first come, first served sites.
