STONY CREEK _SEQUOIA (CA), CA

Description

This USFS campground is part of the Hume Lake Ranger District, Sequoia National Forest. It is located approx. 80 miles NE of Fresno, adjacent to Sequoia National Park. Hume Lake is about 18 miles from the campground, offering swimming, trout fishing, boating and hiking. Normal season dates are 5/15 to 10/1. One quarter mile to gas and store, firewood sold on-site.

    The Giant Sequoia Mercantile offers a wide variety of books, maps, gifts, local art, and other merchandise that will serve to make your trip to the Monument more memorable. Beginning in mid-June 2009 - the Giant Sequoia Mercantile will also be offering a variety of camping equipment and supplies making itthe perfect place to stop for those last minute items you may have left at home.

    Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
  • There is a 3 night minimum on holiday weekends.
  • Quiet hours 10pm to 6am.
  • Pets must be leashed at all times.
  • Camping fee for single site includes entry for one vehicle and one leagally towed vehicle. Maximum of 2 vehicles per single site, 4 for double sites. A fee for additional extra vehciles will be collected by the camp hosts.
  • All equipment must fit on the site pad.
  • Vehicle park in developed areas only.
  • No all-terrain or off-highway vehicle use in the campground.
  • No usage of chainsaw, firearms or fireworks in the campground.
  • CAUTION: This is black bear country! Special food storage rule in effect.
