SOUTH MEADOWS (CO), CO

Description

South Meadows campground is located approximately 5 miles north of Woodland Park. This family campground is nestled in a ponderosa pine forest at an elevation of 8,000 feet. There are paved roads within the campground connecting the 64 sites. Each site has a firering and picnic table. Vault toilets and drinking water may be found throughout the campground. There is a parking lot for the 4.2 mile long asphalt paved Centenial trail which connects all campgrounds along highway 67 with Manitou Lake. There is a dump station across the highway from the campground. Reservations may be made for the summer season which runs from Memorial Day until Labor Day. However, this campground is opened year round with reduced facilities.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum holiday weekend stay. Pets must be leashed. Quiet hours 10pm - 6am. NO discharge of firearms or fireworks. All vehicles must be able to fit onto parking spur without impeding traffic along campground roadways. Extra vehicle fees are collected on the third vehicle. Motorhomes towing a vehicle are considered one vehicle. The extra vehicle fee is $5 per vehicle. This campground has first-come, first-served sites. Limited water available - no water hookups Maximum 8 persons per site (except for group campgrounds) Quiet Hours 10 pm to 8 am Check in : 2 pm checkout is 12 pm Campground is open year-round "January 1 through December 31 of each year."
REGARDLESS OF THE LENGTH OF THE PARKING SPUR, THERE MAY BE ONLY ONE RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PER SINGLE CAMP SITE. DOUBLE SITES MAY HAVE TWO RECREATIONAL VEHICLES. RECREATIONAL VEHICLES ARE TRAILERS, CLASS B MOTORHOMES, CLASS C MOTORHOMES, AND CLASS A MOTORHOMES.

From Colorado Springs, Colorado, travel west on Highway 24 for approximately 25 miles to Woodland Park. From Woodland Park travel five miles north on Highway 67 to the South Meadows Campground.
