Description

The Shawnee Bend Park is located at Harry S. Truman Lake. The area is forested with rocky hills and rock bluffs extending into the lake. The park is a day use area only and two shelters are available for reservations. Some of the activities in the park area are fishing, picnicking, swimming, and boating. Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Shelters 1 and 2 are open year around, and may be reserved for $20/day with an arrival date between 4/15 through 10/15. The beach is open May 15 through Sept 15. The shelter at the beach is a non-reservable shelter and is available on a first come, first serve basis. Day use fees are required if utilizing the beach or the boat ramp. For more information call (660) 438-7317.

In Benton County, go 3 miles northwest of Warsaw, MO. From Highway 7 travel north on the Dam Access Road for 3 miles. From Highway 65, travel across the dam. Follow signs into the park.
