SAND LAKE CAMPGROUND (MI), MIDescriptionSand Lake is 1 mile south of Dublin, MI, 15 minutes from Pine National Scenic River, and 10-15 minutes from several other lakes. This campground has a swimming beach, picnic area, and boat launch. In nearby comunities there are grocery stores, gas stations, hardware and sporting goods stores, and canoe liveries. Some popular activities at Sand Lake include fishing for bluegills, perch, and small mouth bass, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, and swimming. On the July 4th weekend this campground and surrounding communities are very busy because of the Flea Roast and Ox Market in the town of Irons. Site 41 and 42 have been combined to make a group site. The group site is now listed as 41/42. The spur space on single sites is limited. Most sites will not accommodate more than 2 personal vehicles or one large RV/Trailer. Alerts and Important Information*This campground has first-come, first-served sites* Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. Extra vehicle fee will be charged after 2nd vehicle. No boat launching from trailers will be allowed - Carry-in boats are only allowed. No jet skis are allowed to launch from the boat ramp. No refunds for bad weather. Please don't bring firewood from home to the Huron-Manistee National Forest Do not unwittingly spread the Emerald Ash Borer, an exotic beetle from Asia Firewood is available at or near camping facilities. Getting There:Sand Lake Campground (MI)MI GPS Info. (Latitude, Longitude): 44.16806, -85.92944 From the north, turn south off M-55 at Wellston onto Seaman Road. Follow Seaman Road 4.5 miles through Dublin to the entrance road. Turn right on Forest Road 5728 (Sand Lake Road) to the campground. From the south, turn off M-37 about 10 miles north of its intersection with US 10 at Baldwin. Go 2 miles west on 4 Mile Road, turn north (right) on Irons Road and go about 7 miles to 10 1/2 Mile Road. Then go west 1 mile to Seaman Road. Follow north for about 3 miles to the entrance road.
