SAND LAKE CAMPGROUND (MI), MI

Description

Sites at Sand Lake Campground are shaded by a mixed hardwood forest on the shores of Sand Lake, 15 minutes from Pine National Scenic River and several other lakes. Sand Lake Campground is close to a gas station and grocery store, but far enough off the beaten path that Campers can enjoy nature as they hike local trails, fish on the lake and spend time out of the business of the city.

The campground has a swimming beach, picnic area and boat launch. The lake is stocked with bluegills, perch, and small mouth bass for fishing. Kayaking, canoeing, rafting and swimming are also lake activities.

Reservations can be made mid-May through Labor Day weekend. They can be made up to six months in advance, and one year in advance for the group site. They must, however, be made at least 3 days prior to your intended arrival date.
