SAM OWEN (ID), ID

Description

Sam Owen Campground is nestled on the banks of Lake Pend Oreille in a heavily wooded pine forest. Popular activities include hiking and boating, and in the winter, skiing. Nearby is the Game Preserve which provides plenty of opportunity to see unique wildlife up close.

The lake is a clear blue and provides opportunity for not only fishing, but other water activities during the warm summer days. A boat ramp allows easy access for boating and canoeing.

Reservations can be made beginning in mid-July through Labor Day weekend. They can be made up to 6 months in advance for the single sites and up to one year in advance for group sites. Reservations must be made at least 4 days prior to your intended arrival date.
