This is the Crescent Saddle Cabin located on the south central shore of Crescent Lake, NOT the Crescent Lake Cabin on the west side of the lake.

Summer access may be difficult from the west end. The creek crossing on the north end of Crescent Lake is not bridged and may be difficult to cross during high water. The entire primitive trail is not recommended for small children.

Winter travelers need to be able to evaluate avalanche and over-ice travel conditions.

Closed to motorized vehicles May 1 to November 30. Closed to horse/pack stock from 4/1 to 6/30. Maximum stay per reservation limited to 3 nights from 5/15 to 8/31. No commercial use. The person holding the reservation must be 18. Maximum group size allowed is 8. Treat or boil water before consumption. Cabin is equipped with wooden bunks, table, benches, a wood stove for heat, and an outhouse. It sleeps 4 comfortably. It does not have potable water, electricity, mattresses, or cooking utensils. Cabin users should bring sleeping bags & pads, cook stove, cooking gear, and food. Effective November 17, 2003, reservations for Alaska cabins will be subject to a new policy allowing only one change per reservation. A change in reservation is defined as a modification to the start or end date of the reservation. After one change has been made, if additional changes are desired, the customer must cancel the reservation and at a later time, re-book the new dates. This policy has been established to assure that reservations for cabins are fair and equitable for everyone.
