Description

Approximately 7 miles west of St. Charles Idaho, located in St. Charles canyon is Porcupine campground. Porcupine has 16 single family sites and 1 double family unit. Water is available in the campground, as well as a flushing toilet unit. Drawing points to the area include: Bear Lake, Minnetonka cave and the North Fork of St. Charles Trailhead. Minnetonka cave is located about 3 miles up the scenic St. Charles canyon. This cave offers guided tours and receives over 20,000 visitors per year. North Fork of St. Charles Trailhead is the access point from St. Charles canyon to the high line National Recreation trail by way of the North Fork trail. Bear Lake is a 100 square mile body of water that draws thousands of recreational vistors annually.
