Description

MT. HOOD, GOVERNMENT CAMP, TIMOTHY LK MOUNTAINS, WILDERNESS, OPEN SPACE, LAKE FIREWOOD SOLD ON SITE, STAFF ON SITE FISHING, HIKING, BICYCLING 10 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON LAKE, 3RD AND 4TH VEHICLE FEE COLLECTED AT CG Pine Point Campground is located on the shore of Timothy Lake in the Mt Hood National Forest at 3400 feet of elevation. This campground has single, double and group sites. It offers access to recreational activities including boating, fishing, and swimming, hiking and biking.

If Pine Point Campground is full, try other Timothy Lake Campgrounds: Oak Fork, Gone Creek or Hoodview. Clackamas Lake Campground often has open sites when these campgrounds are full. It is located 3 miles away on Road 42. Sites listed as non-reservable are first-come, first serve sites.

For more information about area campgrounds and recreation, visit the Mt Hood National Forest website at http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/mthood. Maps and area information are also available on-site at the nearby Clackamas Lake Historic Ranger Station, on Road 42.

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. PETS MUST BE LEASHED To reserve a site over the phone, call Reserve America at 1-877-444-6777. QUIET HOURS 10PM TO 6AM To reserve a site over the internet: www.reserveusa.com. This campground has first- FIRES IN FIRE CIRCLES ONLY NO DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS OR FIREWORKS come, first-serve sites.

  • No ATV's or ORV's allowed.
  • Vehicles must be parked on the spur.
  • Campground must be occupied the first night.
  • Singles sites have a maximum of 2 vehicles allowed.
  • Double sites have a maximum of 4 vehicles allowed.
  • Triple sites have a maximum of 6 vehicles allowed.

A fee of 50% of the site cost for extra vehicles beyond 1 for single sites, $8 beyond 2 for double sites and $8 beyond 4 for Group sites will be collected at the campground. Reserverations are taken from 05/26/2006 through 09/05/2006. Sites may be available on a first come - first served basis outside the reservation season.

From Sandy, Oregon, travel East on Highway 26 for approximately 40 miles to Skyline Road (Road 42). Turn right on Skyline Road and travel South for 9 miles. Turn right on FS Road 57 and travel West for 3 miles. Turn right at the Pine Point Campground entrance sign.
