PIKE COMMUNITY (CO), CO

Description

This campground at an elevation of 7,700 feet is located near Woodland Park and approximately 2 miles from the Manitou Park Recreation Area which includes Manitou Lake. It is accessible by all vehicle types. Located within a ponderosa pine forest, the campground offers 48 paved parking spots, a ball field, playground, and a sand pit for vollyball as well as a horseshoe pit. There are group cooking and picnic tables, a large pedestal fire grill and a campfire circle. There is a dumpster on site. There is a double vault toilet and potable water on site with a dump station nearby. Camp host is located approximately one mile away at Colorado Campgound. Although the area was developed for group camping, the facility may be reserved for day use at the overnight use rate.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2-night minimum stay on weekends and a 3-night minimum stay on holiday weekends. Pets must be leashed. No discharge of firearms or fireworks. Must occupy the site within 24 hours or forfeit. You must bring your reservation number with you. There are pressurized water hydrants. See the host at Colorado Campground for firewood and assistance with any problems or questions. Afternoon thundershowers are common. Beware of lightning during storms. Altitude sickness can occur. Fees for 1-50 people =$75, 51-100 people =$125, 101-150 people=$175 Limited water available - no water hookups Maximum 8 persons per site (except for group campgrounds) Quiet Hours 10 pm to 8 am Check in : 2 pm checkout is 12 pm
