As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. PICKENSVILLE CG, PICKENSVILLE, AL, ALDescriptionPickensville Campground is located on the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. Pickensville Campground offers 176 sites with electric and water hookups and several sites that have sewer. Many people enjoy watching the barges go by, hunting, fishing, and water sports along the waterway from Pickensville Campground. The nearby Tom Bevill Visitor Center details the history of the Tenn-Tom Waterway, what kinds of wildlife can be found on the waterway, and also the U.S. Snagboat Montgomery, circa, 1926, is displayed next to the Visitor Center.
