As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. PETTIT BAY (OK), OK

Description

In Oklahoma's Green Country, Pettit Bay Campground on Lake Tenkiller is a recreational paradise. Camping, fishing, sightseeing, scuba diving and picnicking are just a few of the activities enjoyed by visitors. There are 93 campsites, shower/toilets, swimming beaches, playground, and handicap accessible campsites and boat ramps. There is a marina concession in the middle of the park loops.

Alerts and Important Information

Walk-in season starts on Oct 1, 2008 and ends on Dec 31, 2008. All sites affected during the season will be available as walk-ups only. Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance for overnight sites. Reservations must be made at least 1 day in advance for day use sites. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends, and a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. The campground is open year around and sites range from $10.00 to $18.00 per night. An attendant is on duty from April through September. The entrance gates open at 6am and close at 10pm. For customers wanting to reserve the former group area in Pettit Bay I, there is no longer a group rate available. For more information contact the Lake Office at (918) 487-5252
