Description

Due to the pine beetle infestation and removal of hazard trees, there is little or no shade in the campground.

Loop A and C are first come first serve camp sites, reservations are not accepted for these sites. Keystone, Dillon, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, and Lake Dillon are nearby. Firewood is available for sale from campground host.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. 2 night minimum on weeekends and 3 night minimum on holiday weekends. 2 vehicles included in camping fee. If you have more than two vehicles these vehicles can be parked in the overflow parking area at Pine Cove Campground (Gravel Lot Only) for $5.00/vehicle/night. Occupy site within 24 hours or forfeit site. Sites will not be held beyond 24 hours for any reason. Golden Age/Access Passport holders must occupy the site where the site is reserved. Passport holders must present Golden Age/Access Passport on site or they will be required to pay the full fee required. There is no electricity/water/sewer site hook-ups at this campground. All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developed areas only. A fee of $5 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground. Water spigots are located at central locations throughout campground.

From I-70 take Frisco exit 203. Travel south on Highway 9 to Peninsula Recreation Area. Follow road approximately 2 miles to Peak One Campground. Please note that the new entrance to the campground is 1/8 mile south of the Frisco Peninsula Area.
