Description

Located in a mature forest within the Smith River Nat'l Recreation Area above the Wild and Scenic Smith River. Short walk to river swimming and fishing. Visit Historic Patrick Creek Lodge and restaurant across the highway. Try out our new, paved accessible trail from the campground to Patrick Creek Lodge.

Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance.
  • Site fee includes one vehicle. A fee of $5 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground. Use fee envelopes located at the fee board.
  • There are no electricity/water/sewer site hook-ups at this campground.
  • Limit of two vehicles per campsite.
  • All equipment must fit on the site pad.
  • Vehicles park in developed areas only.
  • Sites 4, 6, 8, 12, and 13 are available at the park on a first-come, first-served basis.

In northwestern CA. on US Highway 199, 26 miles east of Crescent City, CA, and 60 miles west of Grants Pass, Oregon.
From Highway 101 north of Crescent City, CA, take Highway 199 east for 22 miles to the campground.
From Highway I-5, drive west from Grants Pass, Oregon on Highway 199.
