As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. OLD KUTTAWA (KY), KY

Description

Old Kuttawa Recreation Area is located on beautiful Lake Barkley approximately 3 miles from the wooded, rolling hills of Eddyville, KY.

Visitors here enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming as well as many other outdoor activities. An abundance of wildlife can be seen here including the occasional geese. Two picnic shelters are available for visitors to enjoy. The location provides the ideal setting to view nature at its best with your family and friends.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance.

The recreation area is open April 1 - October 31.

Shelters may be reserved for $25-$45/day.

Visitors taking part in water related activities should use caution due to shallow depths throughout the lake.
