Description

MT. HOOD, GOVERMENT CAMP, OR, TIMOTHY LK MOUNTAINS, WILDERNESS, OPEN SPACE FIREWOOD SOLD ON SITE, STAFF ON SITE FISHING, HIKING, BICYCLING, BOATING, SWIMMING PETS MUST BE LEASHED, NO OHVS IN CAMPGROUND, 10 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON LAKE This campground is located in the Mt. Hood National Forest on Timothy Lake at approximately 3400 feet of elevation. If no sites are available, try other Timothy Lake Campgrounds: Gone Creek, Hoodview or Pine Point. If they are full, try Clackamas Lake Campground, located 3 miles away on Road 42.

ATTRIBUTES: Firewood sold on site. Staff resides on site.

ACTIVITIES: hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, bird and wildlife watching.

UTILITIES: Hand pump well, pit toilets, no electricity.

QUIET HOURS 10PM TO 6AM FIRES IN FIRE CIRCLES ONLY NO DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS OR FIREWORKS 2ND VEHICLE FEE COLLECTED AT CAMPGROUND MAXIMUM 2 VEHICLES PER SITE Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. The only way to reserve a site is either over the phone, calling Reserve America at 1-877- 444-6777 or through the Internet: www.reserveusa.com. This campground has first- come, first-serve sites.

  • Campsite must be occupied the first night.
  • Site maximum for single sites is 6 people and 2 vehicles.
  • 10 mph speed limit on lake.
  • No ATV's or ORV's allowed.
  • Vehicles must be parked on the spur.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks in the campground.
  • Fires in fire circles only.
  • Quiet hours are between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
  • Pets must be leashed.
  • No horses allowed in the campground.

Camping fee pays for 1 vehicle per site. There is an extra vehicle fee of 50% of the site fee for additional vehicles. Extra vehicle fee is charged for any vehicle (motorhome, trailer or passenger vehicle) that is not towed in with the first vehicle.

From Sandy, Oregon, travel East on Highway 26 for approximately 40 miles to Skyline Road. Turn right on Skyline Road (Road 42), travel South 9 miles. Turn right on FS Road 57, West 1 mile, right turn at the Oak Fork Campground entrance sign.
