MEADOW RIDGE (CO), CO

Description

Located approximately 4.2 miles from the town of Woodland Park, Colorado Meadow Ridge Campground is one of two campgrounds within the Rampart Reservoir Recreation Area. Sitting in a ponderosa pine forest, the 19 site campground sets above the reservoir which is renowned for its great fishing. Vehicle access to the reservoir as well as the boat launch is across the dam which is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:oo p.m. The boat launch is available for use Thursday through Sunday ONLY. The campground is open from early May until early October depending upon the weather. Firewood is for sale at the campground. Because of its location in bear country, all food, coolers and toiletries must be stored inside an enclosed vehicle at all times to prevent bear conflicts.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holiday weekends.
There is a maximum of two vehicles per site. An additional fee of $5 will be collected on-site for extra vehicles. Vehicles must fit on the parking spur without blocking traffic. Extra vehicle fees are collected on the 3rd vehicle, which may need to be parked in overflow parking if it will not fit on the spur. There is minimal overflow parking.

REGARDLESS OF THE LENGTH OF THE PARKING SPUR, THERE MAY BE ONLY ONE RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PER SINGLE CAMP SITE. DOUBLE SITES MAY HAVE TWO RECREATIONAL VEHICLES. RECREATIONAL VEHICLES ARE TRAILERS, CLASS B MOTORHOMES, CLASS C MOTORHOMES, AND CLASS A MOTORHOMES.

From Colorado Springs, Colorado, travel west on Hwy 24 for about 24 miles to Woodland Park. Turn north on Baldwin (which turns into Rampart Range Road). Go about 2 miles to Loy Creek Road "turn right" and then to FDR 300 "turn right" (Rampart Range Road). Follow signs. Rampart Reservoir entrance is about 4 miles further on the left side of the road.
