As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. MALDEN LAKE CAMPGROUND (TX), TXDescriptionMalden Lake Campground is located off HWY 8, just south of Maud Texas and US HWY 67. The park is located on a 30,000 surface acre man made lake, within the piney woods of northeast Texas. Open year round, Malden Lake offers a range of outdoor activities from fishing, hunting, and wildlife viewing. During the winter many birds migrate to the lake some of these include Bald Eagles, Pelicans, various ducks and others. There are some poisonous snakes in the area.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationMalden Lake Park has an electric gate system at the gate house which requires a code to enter after gate house has closed.
