Lost Creek Campground is situated in the Old Maid Flat Geologic Area on the Mt Hood National Forest. The Campground is fully barrier free and has both drive-in and walk-in sites. Features include a half-mile long interpretive trail with fishing platforms. Several hiking trails are nearby.

Alerts and Important Information

  • Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
  • This campground has first-come, first-serve sites.
  • No ATVs or ORVs allowed.
  • Pets must be leashed.
  • Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Single sites can have 6 people and 2 vehicles per site.
  • Double sites can have a maximum of four vehicles per site.
  • Vehicles must be parked on the spur.
  • Campground must be occupied on the first night.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks.

    A fee of 50% of the site cost for extra vehicles (2nd vehicle for single sites, 3rd and 4th vehicle for double sites) will be collected at the camground. An extra vehicle is any vehicle (motorhome, trailer or passenger vehicle) that is not legally towed in with the first vehicle.

    From Portland, follow US Hwy 26 for 18 miles past the town of Sandy to the community of Zigzag. Turn north (left) onto Lolo Pass Road (Rd 18). Travel for 4.5 miles, then turn right onto Rd 1825 and continue for approximately .5 miles. Then bear right, still on Rd 1825, and cross the Sandy River bridge. Continue for another 1.7 miles and then bear right at the "Y" junction. The campground is .5 miles past this junction, on the right.
