Enjoy a Corps site today!

As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. Alerts and Important Information

The Corps of Engineers, Nashville District has an approved plan to address serious seepage at Center Hill Dam. Construction of the long-term fix will begin in spring 2008 to address the most critical areas which are the main dam embankment and the left rim. This year’s construction will consist of constructing work surfaces along the main dam embankment and left rim, including excavation similar to a road cut through the hill just west of the dam, and drilling and pumping grout into the foundation to fill voids. Campers at Long Branch can expect to see and hear heavy equipment and experience heavier than normal traffic in the vicinity of the dam. For additional information, visit the Center Hill Dam Seepage website at: http://www.lrn.usace.army.mil/CenterHill/ Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance for family sites and 4 days in advance for group sites. There is a 2 days minimum on weekends and 3 days on holiday weekends. Long Branch Campground is open April through October and sites range from $20 - $24 per night. A picnic shelter is available for $50/day. Attendants are on duty and more information is available by calling (615) 548-8002. Maximum 6 people per site per night. Maximum 2 cars per site.
