As the nation's largest federal provider of outdoor and water-based recreation, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites you and your family to have a safe and enjoyable visit to one of the Corps' more than 400 lakes and more than 2,400 recreation sites nationwide. During your visit to these sites or the thousands of other federal lands and waters, we encourage you and your loved ones to always wear a properly fitted life jacket when boating or playing on or near the water. We need your help to reduce the number of water-related injuries and deaths. Visitor safety is the Corps' number one priority. We actively promote water and boater safety and education programs. New Policy for Lake Lavon Parks.: As of March 16th, 2009 the U.S Army Crops of Engineers Lavon Lake will no longer be issuing or renting out sporting equipment such as volleyballs, nets, etc. For more information please call Lavon Lake HQ at (972) 442-3141. LAVONIA (TX), TXDescriptionLavonia Campground on Lavon Lake is just 45 minutes outside of Dallas, TX and 10 miles south of Farmersville. Visitors both young and young at heart enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities. Camping, fishing, boating, biking, and picnicking are all favorite pastimes. The campground offers 53 sites with water and/or electric hook ups. Additional amenities include hot showers, a dump station, swimming, and a boat launch.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationThis campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holidays. The campground is open January 1st-December 31 and sites are $10-18/night. Day Use Fees: $1/Person or $4/Car Load/day. Annual Day Use Pass: $30/year. Incoming gate is locked at 10 pm.
