KEYSTONE RANGER STATION (WY), WY

Description

The Keystone Ranger Station is an historic structure, recently renovated to provide vistors with many modern amenities. It is available for nightly rentals at a cost of $120.00 per night, with a maximum stay of no more than 5 consecutive nights, and no more than 30 nights in a calendar year.

This beautiful facility, located deep within the Medicine Bow National Forest, has complete indoor plumbing, electricity, refrigerator and both electric and wood-burning heating options. There are two bedrooms with bunk beds and single beds, and a sofa bed in the living room. This cabin will accomodate 8 visitors.

From Laramie, take Hwy 130 (SnowyRange Rd) west approximately 24.5 miles to Hwy 11. Turn left on Hwy 11 and continue 11.3 miles to Albany. Hwy 11 becomes Forest Development Road (FDR) 500 at the Forest boundary just outside Albany. Continue for 3 miles, then turn left onto FDR 542. Follow for approx 5 miles to the Ranger Stn, located on the right side of the road. During winter, FDR 500 is impassable by wheeled vehicles; parking is located across from the Albany Lodge on the north side of Hwy 11 in the large designated parking lot.
