JOPLIN (AR), ARDescriptionJoplin Campground is located on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas. The lake at normal power pool extends approximately 30 miles and has a water surface of 40,000 acres. Visitors enjoy fishing, skiing, scuba diving, boating, and other water activities. Bald Eagles are an attraction for the visitors during the winter. The campground consists of 64 sites, 62 with electric hookups. The campsites do not have water connections but a water faucet is located in each loop of sites for camper use. Other amenities include a dump station, fish cleaning station, hot showers, boat ramp and a swim beach.Services & Amenities:
Alerts and Important InformationDue to rising water levels possible campsite availability and facilities could change will little or no notice. Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 night minimum stay on holidays. This campground also have first-come, first-served sites. Sites are $10-$12/night for a tent sites and $14-$16/night for an electric site. A park attendant operates the fee booth during the reservation season.
