The Jack Creek Guard Station is a primitive historic cabin available for overnight stays. $50 per night. Check in is 2PM and check out is 11AM.

Alerts and Important Information

The cabin was built by Forest Ranger Evy Williams in 1934 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It consists of a one room cabin that can accomodate up to four people on two sets of bunk beds. It is heated by a combination wood and propane cookstove. There is no indoor plumbing. Saddle or pack animals may be kept in a Corral just across the road from the cabin for an additional fee. Water is available during the summer from a spigot close by and from the cabin during the winter months approximately 1 mile away. To reach the Jack Creek Guard Station from Saratoga, turn west on Bridge Street across from the Wolf Hotel, then continue travelling west on County Road 500 to the Forest boundary (approximately 20 miles), then on Forest Development Road 452 for 5 miles. From Encampment, take State Highway 70 west for 7 miles and turn onto Forest Development Road 443 for approximately 15 miles to the junction of 452. From there go west for approximately 8 miles. From Baggs WY, take State Highway 70 for approximately 23 miles to the junction of Forest Development Road 801, turn north for 5 miles to the junction of 830. Follow 830 for approximately 13 miles to the junction of Forest Development Road 452 and then west for approximately 2 miles
