Description

Hunter Cove Park is located on Harlan County Lake near Republican City, Nebraska. Harlan County Lake, with a normal pool surface of 13,250 acres, is the second largest lake in Nebraska. The lake and surrounding land hold great appeal for sportsmen, birders, naturalists or anyone wanting to just get away. Hunter Cove Park offers 150 campsites, two shower buildings/comfort stations, laundry facilities, two picnic shelters, a sewer dump station, water hydrants, playground equipment, a volleyball court, and a boat ramp.

Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. The park is open year round w/amenities available from Apr - Nov. An attendant is on duty during the peak season of May - Sep and sites are $10-$16/night. During Apr, Oct, and Nov, sites are $6/night and collected by a self-pay honor vault. Only one camping unit is allowed at each site. Maximum of six people allowed per site A day use fee is charged at the boat ramp from April 1 - October 31 for non-campers. Please bring in all coolers, skiing, and fishing equipment each night to help prevent thefts. No off road driving. NO ATV's are allowed in Park Areas. ATV's may only be unloaded at the Hunters Cove Boat Ramp. Sites #15 and #17 will be closed from May 1st - Sept 30 2008
