Description

Hirz Bay Group 2 is located on Gilman Road south of Lakehead. The campground is forested and sits on the McCloud arm of Shasta Lake. Nearest boat launch is 1/4 mile away at Hirz Bay; there is a $8.00 daily fee for the use of the launch facility. The resorts on the lake have watercraft rentals and marinas with fuel. Nearest store is 15 miles away in Lakehead. Abundant wildlife in the area. This is a group use site by reservation only. Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 day minimum stay on weekends. This campground requires a 3 day minimum stay on holiday weekends. Respect wildlife: Store food properly and out of reach of bears. Bring gear to hang out of reach, or keep in food storage lockers provided. Poison oak is abundant throughout the forest. CAUTION:Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers. This is a Group Site Only.
