Description

This Mt Hood National Forest campground is on Timothy Lake at approximately 3400 feet of elevation. If no sites are available, try other Timothy Lake MOUNTAINS, WILDERNESS, OPEN SPACE Campgrounds: Oak Fork, Hoodview, or Pine Point. Alerts and Important Information

Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. FIRES IN FIRE CIRCLES ONLY The only way to reserve a site is either over the phone, calling Reserve America at 1-877-444-6777 or through the Internet: NO DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS OR FIREWORKS 2ND VEHICLE FEE COLLECTED AT CAMPGROUND www.reserveusa.com. This MAXIMUM 2 VEHICLES PER SITE campground has first-come, first-serve sites.

  • No all terrain or off road vehicles allowed in the campground.
  • First vehicle free.
  • Maximum 6 people per site.
  • Vehicles must be parked on the spur.
  • Fires allowed in fire circles only.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks.
  • Pets must be leashed.
  • 10 MPH speed limit on the lake.
  • Campsite must be occupied the first night.
  • Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

A fee of 50% of the site cost for extra vehicles (2nd vehicle for single sites) will be collected at the campground. A second vehicle is any vehicle that is not legally towed in with the first vehicle for the site.

Check campground bulletin board for further regulations. Reserverations are taken from 05/27/2005 through 09/06/2005 and 05/26/2006 through 09/05/2006. Sites may be available on a first come - first served basis outside the reservation season.

From Sandy, Oregon, travel east on Highway 26 for approximately 40 miles to Skyline Road (Rd 42). Turn right on Skyline Road, travel south 9 miles. Turn right on FS Road 57, west 2 miles, turn right at the Gone Creek Campground entrance sign.
